Preheat oven to 350F. Place half of the bread cubes in the bottom of an 8x8 baking dish, then top with half of the cooked sausage and 1/2 cup of the shredded cheese. Top with remaining bread cubes, sausage, then cheese. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper, then pour this over the dish.
